FFA Dress Code

Information about the Official FFA Dress Code can be found on this page
The FFA Official Dress is a dress code used for a variety of reasons. Students will be told ahead of time whether or not  the dress code is necessary but you may expect to need it during conferences, conventions, competitions, fairs, and certain meetings. If in need of a jacket please contact our advisors to help you apply for the Gift of Blue Program and you may receive a free one.

The FFA Official Dress

According to the official FFA Manual the dress code includes the following;
  • An official FFA Jackets zipped up
  • Official FFA tie or Scarf
  • A white collared blouse or white collared shirt
  • Black slacks with black socks
  • A black skirt with nylons
  • Black dress shoes with closed heel and toe

Please Note:

  • When in California nylons are skin toned however in any other state wear black
  • During fair it is common to wear white pants and boots
  • Garbs of religions may be worn with official dress
  • Personal Protective Equipment may be used in official dress
  • Firebaugh Highschool's dress code states "Pants must be worn at the waist."  and "Shorts, culottes, and skirts must be no shorter than mid-thigh in length "

Remember:

Students, there will come a time in which you must use your best best judgment about quality or lengths of clothing. Please dress in what you feel comfortable, accordingly so.  We implore that while you wear your Jacket you remember you are not only representing yourself but Firebaugh FFA as well.

Our Advice

  • We suggest you pin back hair to keep out of face
  • If you choose to wear makeup keep it neutral, however we do remind you that makeup is not necessary and should be worn by those who wish to wear it
  • If you struggle to find the Official Dress pieces most of it can be found at your local Walmart
  • If you have no articles of clothing regarding the dress code, most garments of official dress can be used from our middle room at school. Please talk with an Ag teacher ahead of time to make sure we can get you the right size.

The Gift Of Blue

The gift of blue is a program is made to help students receive a free jacket with a corresponding tie or scarf. The program has been up and running since and has provided over students with jackets. Many students here have been able to go to competitions or conferences with their own name on their jacket thanks to the program. If you would like to see the list of students who have received one at our school click the link. The blue corduroy jacket symbolizes a different meaning to our members. Some appreciate having their name embroidered to show accomplishment while others appreciate the emblem that unites us all. Whatever the case may be each jacket has a name and meaning. If you would like to give or receive an FFA Jacket click the following link. When applying for a jacket please contact an advisor first.
